Protect Your Site with an SSL Certificate

Secure your site with a personal SSL certificate issued to your domain
name. If you accept sensitive data from your site visitors, using SSL
(HTTPS) is the right way to protect your customers/visitors data.

We believe web hosting doesn't have to be all about server size or how much SEO we can offer. Which by the way, we can give you an abundance of both. But we believe providing affordable web hosting can help small towns connect to the rest of the world much easier without costing an arm and a leg.

We also believe in our community's ability to serve one-another. For our part, we believe in giving back to those individuals and organizations. That's why we offer discounts to qualifying non-profits and churches. They stand on the forefront and embody the spirit of giving. We want to provide them with extra help in achieving their mission by helping them get their message to more people online without stretching resources.

We also want to extend help to individuals and benefits for those who are trying to support vulnerable individuals and families within our small communities who need help with a single website to organize fundraising efforts and causes. We want to support these difficult circumstances by providing FREE hosting options to help get critical messages to supporters.

Examples of these would be charity benifits for families struggling with loss of life, sickness or going through exteme financial difficulty. Each will be on a case by case basis.

Please see our non-profits and charity hosting page for more details.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a protocol that allows secure connection between the site visitor's browser and the server where the site is hosted. For example, if a web visitor transmits username and password to your site over an insecure/unencrypted channel (HTTP), the data can be seen by third parties. However, if this is done over a secure channel (HTTPS), no one would be able to get/sniff the data. When it comes to more sensitive information, such as submission of credit cards, the use of SSL is absolutely necessary.

If you run an e-commerce site, or if you have a simple login form on your site, it is strongly recommended that you have your visitors transmit data over SSL (HTTPS). By default, our servers come with a shared SSL certificate installed. However, when SSL connection is used, browsers will display a warning that the certificate is issued to another hostname. If you do not want visitors on your site to see warnings, you need to have an SSL certificate issued for your own domain name. You can purchase a domain validation SSL certificate through us that will be installed on your hosting account.
